We are a boutique studio operating at the intersection of architecture, photography, and experience.
Rafael Marxuach Studio is a creative practice rooted in architecture, photography, and the art of producing meaningful experiences. From the restoration of historic structures to intimate events and fine art photography, our work is shaped by a rigorous attention to form, light, and human presence. Each project is approached on its own terms — the result of ideas given careful, considered form.
The studio reflects Rafael's singular sensibility as artist, architect, and storyteller — shaped by a BFA and BA from RISD and graduate studies in Media Studies at The New School — and enriched by decades of collaboration with gifted artists, architects, engineers, dancers, musicians, and producers who have contributed to this body of work.
PHOTOGRAPHY
From the intimate geometry of fine art nude photography to the immersive detail of 360° Google Virtual Tours, Rafael's lens moves fluidly across commercial and artistic worlds — encompassing food, architecture, and portrait work along the way. His photography is guided by a quiet attention to light, form, and the stories that surfaces hold.

Territorio Expuesto · Island Striptease
Rafael Marxuach Studio busca modelos y artistas del maquillaje y moda para una serie de sesiones fotográficas de arte entre junio 2026 y junio 2027 en diferentes entornos naturales y urbanos de Puerto Rico.
Territorio Expuesto · Island Striptease abarca el cuerpo, la tierra, el ecosistema y la soberanía. Strip en el desnudarse — y también como acto de despojar. Una isla despojada de sus recursos, su soberanía, su gente. Tease es seducción, pero también es el espectáculo que se ofrece al que mira desde afuera.
El cuerpo humano y el cuerpo natural de Puerto Rico comparten la misma condición: abandonados por el Estado, explotados por el capital, sobrevivientes de todas formas. Cada imagen de esta serie pone en diálogo la desnudez con el paisaje herido — manglares destruidos, arrecifes blanqueados, ríos contaminados, playas privatizadas, tierras abandonadas. El cuerpo como testigo. El territorio como cuerpo.
¿A quién buscamos?
Modelos de todos los cuerpos, géneros, edades e identidades. No se requiere experiencia previa en fotografía artística de desnudos — sí se requiere apertura, presencia, y disposición a trabajar en exteriores en distintos escenarios de la isla.
Artistas del maquillaje y moda con sensibilidad para el trabajo conceptual, capaces de crear looks que dialoguen con el entorno natural y el tema de cada capítulo.
¿Cómo trabajamos?
Las sesiones se desarrollan en un ambiente profesional, seguro y plenamente colaborativo. El consentimiento informado y el respeto mutuo son valores fundamentales del estudio. Todos los colaboradores reciben crédito completo en la publicación y en todas las exhibiciones derivadas del proyecto. Las condiciones específicas de cada sesión — TFP o compensación económica — se discuten directamente con cada persona seleccionada.
